An aerial view of the five star Llanberis Touring Park
A new, high quality touring caravan park, which has opened in the heart of Snowdonia, has received a five star grading from Visit Wales.
“Llanberis Touring Park is the benchmark for all touring sites to follow. Nothing more to be said,” states the Visit Wales grading report. It also stated that the site was well designed and commended for the level of cleanliness.
The grading is based on eight category groups including cleanliness and toilet and washing facilities.
The 54-pitch park is located on eight acres of land on the edge of the popular village of Llanberis and has been developed by Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure, who also own the successful Riverside Touring Park in Betws-y-Coed.
Park managers Nick and Wanda Hilditch said they were delighted with the five star grading and the Visit Wales endorsement.
“The park has become increasingly busy since it opened, particularly at weekends and some caravan owners have already visited up to four times,” said Wanda. “We are anticipating a very busy summer as more caravan and motorhome owners discover the park.
“Customers love the park’s location because it’s a short walk from the town and not far from Snowdon Mountain Railway and Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. They also enjoy the fabulous woodland walks with their dogs and the stunning mountain views.”
